Mastercard casinos

As easy to deposit with as Visa, less reliable for payouts

Functionally identical to Visa on the way in: instant, universally accepted, no fee from the operator. The difference shows on the way out — a meaningful share of casinos take Mastercard deposits but pay winnings by bank transfer instead, so check before you fund the account.

No operator fee in the Floath set. Issuer currency conversion of roughly 1.5–3% applies on cross-currency deposits, and prepaid Mastercards sometimes carry a load fee of their own.
Typical limits

Overview

Using Mastercard at online casinos

Mastercard is the second global card network, and at the cashier it behaves the same way Visa does: your issuing bank authorises the payment, the operator never sees your banking login, and the deposit lands immediately.

Where the two diverge is payouts. Card payouts require the operator's payment processor to support them on the Mastercard side, and support is patchier than for Visa. Plenty of cashiers list Mastercard under deposits only and route withdrawals to a bank transfer you have to verify separately — which turns a same-day payout into a several-day one.

Mechanics

How it works

Depositing

Enter the card details or select a stored card, clear the 3-D Secure prompt in your banking app, and the balance updates in a few seconds. Debit, credit and prepaid Mastercards are technically all accepted by the network; whether a given casino takes credit or prepaid is a separate decision, and in Great Britain credit is not an option for gambling at all.

Getting money out

Where card payouts are supported, the pattern matches Visa: the operator approves the withdrawal, the funds are pushed back to the card, and it appears on the statement in one to three banking days. Where they are not, the cashier will ask for a bank account instead — expect to upload a statement showing your name and account number before that first payout clears.

The trade-off

What Mastercard is good and bad at

Every rail buys you something and costs you something else. Both sides are listed so you can weigh them against how you actually play.

Where it wins

  • Instant, fee-free deposits at every casino in the Floath set, in all five markets
  • Debit, credit and prepaid variants all exist, so the same rail covers a strict spending cap or an everyday account
  • 3-D Secure means the operator never holds anything that can be used without your banking app

Where it costs you

  • Payout support is less consistent than Visa: several operators accept the deposit and then insist on a bank transfer, adding days and a verification step
  • Where card payouts do work, one to three banking days after approval is the realistic figure — wallets and instant-bank rails beat it comfortably
  • Prepaid Mastercards are usually deposit-only and can slow identity checks down
  • Cross-currency deposits carry an issuer conversion charge that is invisible in the cashier and only shows on the statement

The ranking

Casinos accepting Mastercard

Ranked by the Floath Score, not by how much they pay us. Every operator here takes the method for deposits.

No rated casino currently takes Mastercard

Nothing in the directory accepts this method today. The full directory and the fastest-paying operators are the useful next step.

Coverage

Where Mastercard is available

Availability is set by the operator and your bank as much as by the method itself. Each market page lists the casinos that accept players there.
