Not on the maths. At the standard 8:1 price it costs roughly 14.4%, more than ten times the main bets. At the rarer 9:1 price it improves to about 4.8%, which is still four times the cost of simply backing Banker.

Does baccarat involve any skill?

None. The drawing rules are fixed for both hands, so there is no decision after the bet is placed. Every published system for baccarat is a betting progression, and progressions change the distribution of results rather than the expected return.

Why is baccarat excluded from so many bonuses?

Two hands are dealt, Banker and Player, and whichever finishes closer to a total of nine wins. Whether a third card is drawn is decided by a fixed table of rules that neither you nor the dealer can override. You are not playing a hand; you are choosing which of two hands to back before either exists.

That makes it the mirror image of blackjack, which it superficially resembles. Blackjack rewards correct play by up to two and a half percentage points; baccarat has no play to get right, so the only way to play it badly is to bet on the wrong thing.
